Install skills in Gemini CLI

Every downloadable skill on SkillPass installs into Gemini CLI. The skillpass CLI writes the skill's files where Gemini CLI reads them, after the Skill Passport pre-flight has shown you what the skill asks an agent to do.

Where Gemini CLI reads skills

Gemini CLI reads the shared .agents/skills folder that Codex, Cursor, Windsurf, GitHub Copilot, and OpenCode read too, so one install serves all of them.

Install a skill

npm install -g skillpass
skillpass add <slug> --target gemini-cli
skillpass add <slug> --target gemini-cli --global

<slug> is the name on the skill's SkillPass page. --global installs into ~/.agents/skills/ for every project instead of .agents/skills/ in this one. Nothing installed yet? npx skillpass@latest add <slug> --target gemini-cli runs the same install once.

The pre-flight report shows first: validation status, risk level, declared versus detected permissions, and findings. Medium or higher risk asks before anything is written, the download is verified against the pinned source hash, and the write is atomic. A pack installs every member skill in the files Gemini CLI reads.

Replace <slug> and hand this to Gemini CLI. It runs the same install through the CLI, pre-flight first, and stops for you when the risk is medium or higher.

Install the SkillPass skill "<slug>" (latest version) with the skillpass CLI, then report what you did.

1. From the project root run: npx skillpass@latest add <slug> --target gemini-cli
   Add --global for the user-level skills folder instead of the project one.
2. The CLI prints a pre-flight report before writing anything: validation status, risk level, permissions, and findings. If it stops because the risk is medium or higher, show me the report and wait. Only rerun with --yes after I approve.
3. When it finishes, tell me the installed path and summarize what the skill does in two sentences.
